The 2026 vintage will be remembered as the “fast and the furious”.
Warm weather in December 2025 accelerated sugar accumulation in the vineyards, while phenolic ripeness developed more slowly. This created a challenging balance, with sugar levels rising quickly before the grapes had fully reached the fruit expression we were looking for.
As a result, timing became everything during harvest. Picking at exactly the right moment was crucial, and we believe this precision will be reflected in the character of the 2026 wines as they continue to develop.
Where the timing was right, 2026 has delivered beautifully structured wines with vibrant fruit expression, depth, and impressive concentration.
